MediciGlobal, a King of Prussia, PA based firm specializing in the recruitment of patients into clinical trials, is currently seeking an experienced
Web Developer to join its Technology and Innovation Team.
Successful candidates will have some or all of the following qualifications:
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) and associated tools and services
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of secure web site development practices.
• Proven proficiency in at least one of the major coding languages (ASP, PHP, JSP, VB, ASP.NET, PERL) with the ability to become proficient in new emerging technologies as needed.
• Extensive knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, SOAP, and Cascading Style Sheets.
• Clean, properly documented and formatted web coding practices without using a WYSIWYG editor. Code must be compliant to cross platform and cross operating system browsers.
• Ability to create interactive websites that interface with one or more databases
• Demonstrated ability to write SQL statements in a variety of environments including MySQL and Microsoft SQL.
• An understanding of database server technologies, such as index management, stored procedures, views, relationships, etc.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Collaborative working style and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
• Strong research, organizational, communication and presentation skills are required, as is the ability to operate against deadlines.
Any of the following experience is a plus:
• Ruby on Rails
• Adobe InDesign Server
• LogiXML reporting suite
The principle responsibilities of this position are:
• Designing, implementing, and providing day-to-day operation of MediciGlobal’s extensive web-based systems, both internal and external
• Creating and developing concepts and design utilizing computer based design technology approaches for meeting specific recruitment and retention program project objectives
• Creating customized approaches for web based systems (internet/intranet) with direction from the Director of Technology and Innovation.
• Ensuring web sites are robust in design, usability and availability
• Keeping web sites current and relevant
• Making changes to company web site, including documents and images
• Maintaining records of content approval and publishing
• Working closely with other IT staff and outside consultants to deploy and support complex web applications in a two or three-tiered architecture
• Monitoring web-based services, including the troubleshooting and reporting of issues for resolution to IT management
• Developing new solutions through consultation with end-users and management
• Documenting the system for other users
• Recommending and implementing solutions to develop and track web site usage
• Contributing to the development and design of new department services and solutions
