Yeah, that's why I asked my question above. If you don't need all the features of a big CMS, then WordPress is often a better solution as it's easier to use, easier to theme and well, just darn good at doing what it does.

But if you need the extra functionality of a full CMS, then it does pay to move to a bigger (bloated?) platform.
