Default JavaScript - Uppercase in Form Field in Adobe Pro 9.0

I'm new to Adobe Pro 9 and am creating fillable forms. I want to set the 'State' field in an address so that the content is forced to uppercase. I thought this would be straightforward as I know Microsoft Access pretty well, but it's proving harder than I thought!

I'm reading that I need to define a JavaScript for custom formatting and have found the toUpperCase() command, but don't know what syntax I need to make it work.

Any advice truly appreciated, thanks!
