Map Tracking Software?

Hello everyone,

I am going to use some sort of "Map Tracking" software for my employer's website. We want to have a world map track where people preside. I see that Google offers something for this. You can see an example here: Map

Does anyone know how I might go about implementing a Google map and tracking the whereabouts of people on it?
