International quality services rather than cost-effective services
In India, there is a wide range of KPO (Knowledge Process Outsourcing) companies which has successfully completed web development projects for clients in different countries around the world, such as the U.S, Canada, and Europe. Indian companies provide accurate and low cost IT services for any type of client who needs to create an effective presence in the Net. Now, majority of the Indian companies are concentrating on delivering international quality services rather than cost-effective services.
By delivering high-end services, KPO companies in India have gained a strong foothold in the worldwide market. India is the most competitive and popular IT- outsourcing destination in the world and tops the ranking according to survey findings by some Internet experts.
In order to effectively reduce costs, many companies are sending non-core functions offshore by either developing in-house shared service centers or outsourcing to a third party service provider. There is a variety of factors to consider when deciding whether to offshore functions; but there are just as many issues to take into account once you've made the decision.
India in a significant ruling held that subsidiaries of foreign companies providing support services do not constitute a permanent establishment and hence such foreign companies are not taxable. The ruling is extremely favorable for foreign firms looking at developing an offshore center in the country, and provides one more incentive for organizations to consider setting up their own captive operations in India.
It is well known that a number of companies are in the process of shifting their call centers in India in favor of call centers based in the Philippines. However, the on-going political developments have damaged the country's credibility and has increased its risk as a location for global sourcing, deterring badly needed foreign investment as well as tourism. This is where the supremacy of countries like India with its stable democracy and open policies is apparent over and above any consideration for any short-term monetary gains.
