Default Forum trackbacks

Most people who have dealt with blogs before have used trackbacks or seen them in action.

They're a useful way to create links between related pages automatically and encourage interaction between like minded blogs. However they haven't been a common feature on forums until recently.

I never saw much use in them on forums until I posted something here at the Developers Tutorials which appeared on my own blog as a trackback! You can see it in the comments section of the following page ... Suckerfish WordPress Plugin | Ryan Hellyer. The original post is here ... Pop ups that aren't actually pop ups!

Actually, another one will probably appear when I post this new topic. I have now become a fan of using trackbacks on forums. This has automatically created a freebie link for the developers tutorials which they otherwise would not have had. You can't do much better than a link for zero effort.

What do the rest of you think?
