strange question for you guys...

lets say i want to power more than 4 (HDDs, CD/DVD drives) in my computer but my power supply only has 4 power slots/plugs for them....is there anyway for me to hook up another PSU to use for them or would i have to get a new bigger/better PSU?

I'd imagine that you could simply get another PSU and hook the extra devices onto that, but the problem would be mounting it in your case I think. Unless your case has a space for another PSU (doubtful), thenyou'd be looking at mounting it yourself - tricky - or leaving it outside the case, with the wires going into the case, either by creating a hole, or leaving a panel off. This isn't ideal for aesthetics, or for keeping the inside of your PC relatively clean.
Personally I'd say splash on an uprated PSU that can do all the devices, and make sure it will fit my case before I buy it, but if aesthetics don't matter too much to you, then you could buy another and leave it outside the box.
