Ultimate Media Center PC!

Getting a media center PC set up is something I've been meaning to have a go at for a while, and finally I have a spare PC around to have a go with! I've been looking at some different options, and have to say I was mightily impressed with LinuxMCE (watch a demo video here), and the fact it's free helps a bit as well. The other free option is Mythbuntu, but I've played with this before and found its setup a bit confusing. Of course Microsoft Media Center is always out there, but as the box I have spare is running linux, and I have no windows license, it's not that much of an option.
What experiences has anyone else had with media centers on PCs? I think it's undoubtedly the future (prepackaged MCs on PCs anyway), but the next couple of weeks will show how easy it is now!
I'll keep you updated with how I get on - the main point of the post was just to show you the insane video demo!!

Cool, it seems pointless purchasing a DVD recorder these days when in theory you can do exactly the same thing, but better on your home computer.
