Ok it is time. I have seen two for long enough. I can almost imagine the third one here in front of me on a daily basis.
How can I move from 2 monitors to 3. I remember having to purchase a special video card to go from one monitor to two but whats the case for moving to three?
Actually, now that I remember back, some friends of mine who were doing PhD's in computer science had hooked up 100 screens a while back. They used them to display extremely high resolution photos on a wall.
They had to custom build some software (possibly hardware too, but I'm not sure). But I'm guessing there's probably an off the shelf way to do this. Unfortunately I don't know the answer sorry. I'm sure someone will be along shortly who know's though.
I'm sure that one of the nVidia graphics cards has the option to install two of them and link them together, and I think both of them have 2 monitor outs. You're looking at a lot of money (~£180 = ~ $350) each! And your PC will need two AGP ports as well I think. Then you need to make sure your OS can handle 3 without special software - most will do dual screens but I have no idea about more than that! Good luck with it, and let us know how you go on!
