Arrow Xhtml strict 1.0 vs xhtml 1.1

Which one is better? XHTML STRICT 1.0 or XHTML 1.1

Depends on what you're doing. XHTML 1.0 Strict is meant to be a bridge between HTML and XHTML, hence why it still supports Transitional and Frameset. XHTML 1.1 is closer to a pure XHTML spec with less "backwards compatibility."

Either way, unless you're using your HTML with XML, you're fine using regular HTML. Personally, I use XHTML 1.0 Strict regardless.

Hi,
There's usually no need for XHTML1.1, XHTML1.0 or HTML4.0 are perfectly adequate. XHTML1.1 is not supported by many browsers so is not generally recommended.

I think you meant "XHTML 1.0 is meant to ...", as strict doesn't include transitional and frameset.

Yep, you're right. I use XHTML 1.0 Strict so often that I tend to consider it the default for everything.
