I am very excited with what just happened to me. A friend of mine told me that she would pay me a certain amount of money for building her a website and it sounded like a lot to me, the thing is, I don’t know anything about that. I accepted anyway and she actually paid in advance! So there I am with her money and a deadline, just looking around the web for some presets. I later ran into myTino (usa.mytino.com) and after checking it out for a while, I realized it was a great option. You can actually post a service you need to be done, such as web design and then the service providers will compete between them with their intellect works for the budget and when the deadline is reached, you choose the winner and pay on delivery; actually, after delivery. So I ended up earning a few bucks with myTino and now I just go around asking people if they need a website designed.

Nice information but if you want to design websites you can contact any professional web design company serveral IT companies that offer excellent services to the client at cheap prices.

You could also try recruiting staff via web design forums such as here. You will usually find many highly skilled people surfing through web design forums searching for work, so they are often a better source of people than some of the sites designed purely for that task.

There are many idiots who claim to be web designers, so be careful when recruiting people online. Always make sure you see a good portfolio first and ensure that the person can confirm that they actually did complete the jobs in their portfolio (it's quite easy to CLAIM to have created many sites even if they hadn't).

Ryan's advice is right on the money. And before you contact any Web developers to find out if they can help you, be sure to at least outline the capabilities that you want for the Web site. There's an enormous range of skills, with some people who barely know HTML and CSS claiming to be Web developers, and comparing themselves with professional programmers who build substantial Web sites with e-commerce capabilities, etc.
