any free-ware ?

is there any free ware which can work better than photoshop and easy to use and light to download.

PaintShop Pro is easier to use, the GIMP is free and quick to download.

With regards to working better im not sure you will find one out there topping the industry leader.

Yep, Adobe Photoshop is definitely top of the heap. Unfortunately the learning curve is quite steep and it's not that user friendly even when you do know your way around basics.

Personally I tend to use PaintShop Pro for simple editing jobs and leave PhotoShop for the stuff that PaintShop Pro can't handle - particularly applies to text rendering.

I generally avoid The GIMP, I don't like it's interface, too cluttered with windows and confusing.
