Default What CMS to go for?

I'm looking into starting a content site, and can't really be bothered with all the effort of coding a backend myself, so started looking into a few CMSs. I've installed Joomla, Drupal and XOOPS to have a look at. So far, with the small amount of playing I've done, I think Joomla seems to be the most friendly and easy to use.
What CMS do you use/recommend? Is there any must have feature that I should make sure I have? And what are the differences between the 3 I mentioned (and any others)?

We need more information. What exactly do you want your CMS to do?

I like WordPress the most.

I think Drupal, XOOPS and all those other big CMS's are too complicated. I tried some and found them very difficult to use. WordPress is much more user friendly.

Yeah, that's why I asked my question above. If you don't need all the features of a big CMS, then WordPress is often a better solution as it's easier to use, easier to theme and well, just darn good at doing what it does.

But if you need the extra functionality of a full CMS, then it does pay to move to a bigger (bloated?) platform.

I probably want a bit more than just WP could provide, but looking at the ones I've installed they all have way more than necessary. Basic functionality would probably be taxonomised content, blog, polls...hmm now I spell it out to myself maybe WP could answer these questions!

Yeah, that's why I asked. I see a lot of people using Joomla, Drupal etc. simply because they want a few extra features. They are usually oblivious to how little effort it takes to make WordPress do exactly what they want.

I use a combo of SMF and WordPress to do a lot of things which neither software can do on their own at New Zealand Hockey | Dunedin Ice Hockey Association. User registration, user group specific areas, polls, forums etc. are all controlled by SMF whereas WordPress controls everything else. Users are oblivious to what software is controlling what (apart from the forum, which is obviously SMF).
