help required for image rating script

I made a website where friends share and rate their photos by the tool "HotOrNot Clone by Cresoft " . Every Thing is all right,and is working beutifully with this but since I am not much aware that which type of photo is best for sharing mean to say .BMP/.JPG/GIF?

on the internet when people they share there pics its all as Jpeg format hope this helps.
