Where were most of your visitors coming from originally? Google perhaps? If so, the best way to get those back is to look for ways to increase the number of quality links back to your own site.

It probably doesn't explain your sudden loss in numbers, but I suspect that the old school Dreamweaver code in your site won't help bring you any work from web development companies looking to outsource their work.

Regular customers will not know what to look for in your code, but any web development firm which is successful enough to be looking to outsource their business, will know to first look at your source code. If they see a bunch of Dreamweaver code they are likely to go elsewhere. I recommend recoding your own site for this reason.

Good luck with getting your traffic back

You should check because if your site is loosing traffic, it means your business or your customers will decrease. you business can be effected so anallyze it deeply to understand those problems which can cause this problems. Some of them are broken links, use of software or false clicks and some errors in structure.

Without knowing the source of your original traffic, one can't really say why you've lost it. However, given you've posted this in the SEO forum, I shall assume most of it was from search engines.
I'm afraid the advice is basically a standard reply - write more good content, and get more good links. To paraphrase a prominent evolutionary biologist, "you have to keep running to stand still" - this applies completely to SEO, i.e. your competitors will be writing content and building links, so if you do this slower than they do it, they will overtake you.

Greetings pntglobal,

Firstly you check the backlink of your site on google, yahoo, msn etc. If you find your links are less than previously. You should start the link building of your site for gain more traffic.
For link building you should doing directory submission, search engine submission, article submission, blog submission etc.

Fredrik

Good advice Frederik. The more backlinks the better, they lead to both direct traffic and future search engine traffic.

yes link building is good.. but if your serious in marketing your site. dont just link build in place where you dont get notice. hit something where possible people are looking to your product..
