I'm assuming it is the site in your signature you are referring to.

Perhaps try placing the term "web development" inside heading tags to emphasise them to the search engines and maybe some in <strong> tags.

Optomisation of your sites code may help a lot as your site currently looks like it was created in some sort of wysiwyg editor.

Welcome to the forum Ambrose

Unfortunately it looks like that company has a truly horrid approach to SEO, or at least they do on their own site. They use a table based layout, blank table cells, relative URLs, inline styling all sorts of other SEO nastiness.

I've removed the link in case someone reads your post and visits the site without reading further. Plus they really don't deserve any inbound links from anywhere.

If anyone wants to see the link, then google the following keywords to find it ... jordan, creek, design and seo.

<rant>How the heck do these companies think they can get away with this stuff? If people don't know anything about SEO, they shouldn't run a business around the concept, it's just silly</rant>

your aiming on a keyword with a huge competition of 1,250,000,000, and many website developers company also uses this keyword, so the competition keeps on tougher and tougher.. thats the reason why your ranking was dropped. coz other too optimize there site with this keyword... if your going to compete with this keyword youll need like a huge of link visibilty.. well anyways gudluck...

Very true IFOR2005. There are a huge number of web development websites and getting traffic from those keywords will be VERY tough.

Hi Eimee,
So you are getting different results depending on the Google domain you use? This is very common and not surprising.

It is particularly common if your site is obviously based in a particular country as Google will favour showing the site in it's search results for visitors from that country.

If you're still having problems I suggest you get more back links and probably try some article content writing.

Maybe this site will help you more though

Backlinks are always key, but no that site would not be of any use.
