Blogspot in PHP

Hi there , i have to create blogspot clone for my school project in php.

i was confused of as to how blogspot gives its users unique url ("myblog.blogspot.com"), do they create pages for each user using information provided or they create pages on the fly.

Please help me out , my teacher is not helping but saying "GOOGLE" it , i have also done that but in vain.
