Some more points i would like to add in the list.

Every customer has its own taste, so if u are going to develop a web-application then it should fullfill the tastes of all visitors, huh that sounds very much difficult but the rules goes like this.. " I dont care if theres one fewer cool feature missing. I just want this project to be rock solid".

So try as much possible to address all type of customers unique features bundle them into single.
