Question DREAMHOST - Good, The Bad, And The Ugly!

My current host is Dreamhost, however I have noticed lately that some of my CHMOD commands get out of wack. Is this a normal problem for dreamhost? I have had them for 2 years now and have been quite pleased.

What are your good, bad and ugly stories? If you have hosted or host with them now.

I haven't tried their hosting personally, but I've heard mixed stories about them. Some people
are very happy, others aren't. Although complaints I've heard have been mainly about low CPU usage limits, not technical issues like this.

Have you filed a ticket with them?

Perhaps you could ask to be moved to a different server to see if that helps.

That may be part of the problem. I haven't filed a ticket with them yet, mainly, because it doesn't happen often enough or is fixed that i forget about it and move on. However, it may be worth taking up with their "managers".
