Unfortunately, from what I've heard the service there seems to be horrendous. You are the only person I've heard have a positive experience with them.


My favourite free host is freehostia.com. They've been around for a few years now and seem to have a sustainable business model with their free hosting. As with all things free, it isn't perfect, but their servers normally work and they offer a fairly decent package which runs at a reasonable speed.

I use Hostgator shared hosting myself.
